Monreal leaves Arsenal for Real Sociedad



Spanish left back Nacho Monreal has left Arsenal following six years at the London club to join La Liga side Real Sociedad on a two-year bargain for an undisclosed expense, the two sides said on Saturday.

Monreal, 33, joined Arsenal from Malaga in January 2013 and proceeded to show up for the club, scoring 10 objectives.

"During his time with us, Nacho played in his common left-back position and furthermore in focal guard. He won three FA Cups, three Community Shields and had a major impact in our hurried to the Europa League last season," said an announcement from Arsenal.

"We might want to express gratitude toward Nacho for his commitment to the club and everybody at Arsenal wishes him the best for his future."

Monreal, who started his vocation with Osasuna, will be displayed as a Real Sociedad player on Monday.

His new side have taken four out of three games this season and were beaten 2-0 by neighborhood rivals Athletic Bilbao on Friday.
